Mohican State Park

Located in northeastern Ohio, the 1,110-acre Mohican State Park and the adjacent 4,525-acre state forest offer outstanding opportunities for visitors to explore one of Ohio’s most stunning natural regions. Visitors can truly experience the wilderness, venturing through the hemlock forest to take in the striking views offered by the Clear Fork Gorge and fish-laden Clear Fork River. Hikers and mountain bikers can enjoy a challenge on the acclaimed 25-mile trail and relax in the evening at the luxurious Mohican State Park lodge or cabins along the meandering river.

  • 100 electric sites
  • 51 full hook-up sites
  • 35 non-electric sites
  • Showers, flush toilets, dump station and a campground store
  • Registered campers may use the pool and splash pad located in the campground.
  • Playground, volleyball and basketball courts
  • Campground store loans games and sporting equipment to registered campers.
  • Gem mining is available for a fee from the campground store
  • A maximum of two pets are welcome at all sites
  • For the safety of our registered campers and their families, visitors are not permitted to drive through the campground from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Group Camps: 4 primitive group camp sites (no electric) can be reserved online or by calling (866) 644-6727.

    • Each site accommodates up to 25 people
    • Potable water and pit latrines
    • Fire ring and 2 picnic tables per site
    • 10 miles from the main campground
    • Group camp guests can use main campground facilities (shower, pool, etc) for a Daily Car Pass Fee.

Cabins (25 Preferred Cabins)  Cabins were renovated in 2016.

    • Two-bedroom family cabins, sleep 6 people
    • Located along the river in a wooded area
    • Heated for year-round use and contain cooking utensils, towels, bed linens and blankets
    • Cabin guests may use the swimming pool and splash pad located in the campground.
    • Pets are permitted in cabins 10, 18, 19 & 21.

Three camper cabins are available from May through October. Reserve online or by calling (866) 644-6727.

    • 1 bunk bed and 1 double bed (sleeps 4)
    • Mini refrigerator and a microwave
    • Ceiling fan, electric heater, air conditioner
    • Front porch with swing
    • Fire ring and picnic table
    • One tent may be set-up on each site (limit 2 people)
    • Pets are not allowed in the camper cabins.
    • No linens or cookware provided.
    • Registered guests may use the pool and splash pad located in the campground.
