Ohio State Parks

*Please note*  This information is provided on the Ohio of Natural Resources (ODNR) “Camping in Ohio State Parks” web page.

Pitch your tent on the grass or park your trailer on the pad provided in one of Ohio’s 57 state campgrounds!  Many campgrounds offer a mix of electric and non-electric sites (electric service is either 20-amp, 30-amp or 50-amp). Some parks offer full hook-up campsites (50-amp electric as well as water and sewer hook-ups) with pull-through pads that can accommodate RVs.

Range of Rates

  • Non-electric campsites: $17 – $26
  • Non-electric, premium campsites: $18 – $31
  • Electric campsites: $21 – $31
  • Electric, premium campsites: $26 – $32
  • Full hook-up sites (electric, water and sewer hook-ups): $33 – $39

“Premium” sites offer lake views.

Some sites with no potable water and no electric nearby are available at no charge. Check the park page for details.

Check the reservation website for availability.

  • Each site has a picnic table and fire ring.
  • Water faucets and restrooms or latrines are located throughout the campground. A few campgrounds have no services.
  • Many campgrounds offer hot showers and laundry facilities.
  • Where available, dump stations are available free of charge for registered campers.
  • Most campgrounds offer ice and firewood for sale to campers, and many have camp stores (open seasonally) stocked with food, convenience items and souvenirs.
  • Camping reservations are encouraged — you can make your reservation up to six months in advance. Some campgrounds do not accept reservations at all.
  • Walk-in sites are subject to availability. Many parks have at least some sites set aside for walk-ins. Some campgrounds have NO walk-in sites; some campgrounds have ONLY walk-in sites.
  • Many campgrounds observe a winter season — it costs less to camp; there are fewer sites available; amenities (water, showers, etc.) may be limited; and most campgrounds switch to walk-in only (no reservations can be made).
  • Some campgrounds are completely closed during the winter season.
